Animoto can first be used as a tool for the teachers of course. We use the gradual release of instruction in our district. I can model Animoto for my students. Show them a video like this one. I think that would be enough to spark their interest. I think the first reaction would be "COOL". That is certainly more entertaining than a dry lecture on the 1920's. Next the student will learn how to create their own video using Animoto. Next the student will practice with guidance from the teacher and finally the student will independently create their own video. This is a great way for the students to produce something educational and fun.
